Here is the after picture, at night, anyways, you get the idea :) we went with a grey that would look good with the floor and white trim and I think it turned out great. Next on the list: paint the hallway and kitchen.
Scarlett had a friend birthday party, she invited all the girls in her class. We had seven girls come, I am glad that was all that could make it :) Scarlett wanted a Tinkerbell fairy party, but the snow fairy, that I don't even know her name. So I had to be creative, but it turned out really cute with fairies and snowflakes.
We also had my family over that night, even though it was really snowy.
We had so much snow! Most of you know that already, but I just can't believe how much snow we had. I also can't believe that we decided to wait until next winter to get a snow blower! Jon and I almost didn't make it through shoveling all that snow :) Our neighbors even came and helped us, we were so grateful, we wouldn't have been able to get out of the driveway if they didn't.
We had a wonderful Christmas, that being said, it was crazy for me! We moved in on December 15, with a lot of help from our poor families that had to help us move so close to Christmas. The kids were spoiled this year, not that they aren't every year :)
So life got crazy for awhile, since last October when we were trying to buy a house. SO... I am going to attempt to start blogging again because I really like looking back on my old posts.
Atticus had a great birthday, I remember he didn't want a friend party, but wanted his cousins to come over and play Minecraft all night. So that's what we tried to do for him :) We gave him a remote controlled helicopter.
This is pretty much what we did all winter when it was too cold to go outside. The girls played dress-up and Atticus played video games.
In March we got a family pet guinea pig. After an extensive voting process she was named Aurora Borealis, Aurora for short. The girls love her. Atticus still wants a dog.
Looking at the lights before heading over to the sing-a-long that we go to every year with my family.
Decorating cookies for Santa.
We did sponge curlers, can you tell? :)
Hooray for the toilet paper ball at Mann's on Christmas Eve! I was trying to take a picture of the action, but you really have to be there in the circle to feel the excitement.
Christmas morning! So much fun this year, Santa was very good to us. The kids all said this was the best Christmas ever! I don't know how we can top that next year.
