This is pretty much what we did all winter when it was too cold to go outside. The girls played dress-up and Atticus played video games.
In March we got a family pet guinea pig. After an extensive voting process she was named Aurora Borealis, Aurora for short. The girls love her. Atticus still wants a dog.

That is funny that we got pets at the same time. Atticus is always begging for a pet. He liked Aurora for about 2 weeks and then he wanted a dog. Good luck with your new pets! I think it's fun for the kids.
