Atticus started kindergarten on September 1st. He is loving school and making friends. It is a big adjustment for all of us. Atticus is adjusting to not playing video games all the time, and I am adjusting to all of the running around, picking him up and dropping him off. Atticus is such a sweet boy, I do miss having him around, but I know he is having so much fun at school.
Veronica and Atticus wrestling, their favorite thing to do. Atticus is a great big brother.
Veronica is talking up a storm now. Her favorite thing to say, I mean yell is "MA!" So even though I enjoy her talking, I wish my name wasn't yelled all the time. She also loves to sing, we'll sing a song and as soon as it's over she's yelling "Song!" for the next song to start. It's so cute, she's my baby.
Scarlett painting her jewelry box. She did a great job, she is a natural.
We put some rub on decals and it needed something sparkly. It turned out really cute.
Here's Scarlett pretending to sleep in her new to her bed. I made the quilt for her and she got new sheets and a pink bedskirt. Audrey made this vinyl decal for Scarlett's bed. I told her what I wanted and she cut it out on her silhouette and put it on the bed for me. It turned out perfect! I love it almost as much as Scarlett does. When I had the idea to put the lettering on I asked Scarlett if she wanted me to put "Princess" on her bed or "Scarlett". She promptly said "Yes Princess Scarlett".
So I saw this on Studio 5 the day before and tried it on the kids. I filled the glasses with jello, to look like drinks. It was pretty funny for me, I laughed and laughed, the kids weren't so impressed. Atticus thought it was funny and smiled at me. Scarlett tried to drink it, but when she couldn't she didn't skip a beat, she pulled the straw out and just started eating it. She didn't even look at me or ask why is my drink jello? It was so funny.
We hid the Easter baskets, I mean the Easter bunny hid the Easter baskets, it was fun looking for them.
Veronica enjoying a peep. (There's my quilt in the background that I made for Scarlett.)
Dying eggs was an adventure, I was only brave enough to have six colors. Six cups with food coloring and 3 kids seemed sort of manageable. I still had to call Jon in for backup.
Scarlett with all of her teeth, she had to get in on the action!
Atticus lost his first tooth today at lunch. He was upset and looked a little pale. He didn't know what was going on because I thought he was too young to lose teeth so we hadn't discussed this at all. Once we told him everything was okay and a new tooth would come in it's place the color started coming back to his face. Poor guy! Anyway...the tooth is now awaiting the tooth fairy.
